Inclusive Events

We Too! creates inclusive “Relaxed” sessions and events in the community for all the family to enjoy by working with a variety of partners across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Our events are a mixture of those produced and run by We Too!, and those existing events, run by organisations with our guidance and training.

The majority of our events are ticketed to allow control over the number of those attending, information on events and tickets can be found on the events section of the website.

Advice

Training is core to our mission to create a more inclusive Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

We Too! CEO, or as we like to call her, Cheif Ninja, Phionna McInnes has been delivering training to companies and community groups since her We Too! journey began.

Magazine

We Too! Magazine was the brainchild of Phionna, who as a parent of a child with additional support needs was becoming increasingly frustrated by the fragmented information they were receiving along with the lack of options for fun activities which her family could take part in.

The idea in its simplest form was the development of a magazine, that would give families of those with additional support needs, consistent information and ideas on activities custom designed to meet their needs. Phionna is looking to go beyond advertising events and activities in the magazine, and as well as using her interactions with the various companies offering family friendly opportunities to cover the costs to produce the magazine, creating sustainability, but to make providing these services a way to ensure the charity can self-sustain.

Most importantly, We Too! Magazine has created a forum for people living in a similar situation to liaise and engage with each other, sharing similar stories and creating new social networks. This has proven to be socially beneficial, not only for those who have lived with the challenges for a while, but those who are dealing with change.
